RESTLESS VIDEOCLIP

A FULL CGI VIDEOCLIP

This project, brought to my desk by Lisa Parolo that has been the account manager of the entire process, involved the creation of a video clip for the remix of the song Restless by Neja using only 3D graphics and therefore without the use of filming or photographic sets. The 2024 remix was made by Andrea de Luca, DJ of Radio Peter Pan, and the video clip is still present on YouTube while the song can be found on Spotify.

Who is Neja? Neja, over 4 million records sold from 1997 to today, achieved success with her second single, the beautiful “Restless”, which reached position #5 in Italy and #47 in the UK. Her success also continues with the third and fourth extracts from her first album “The Game”: “Shock” ranks at #7 and “The Game” at #16! The latter, highly scheduled on the radio and with a beautiful video shot in Miami, also won the then prestigious “Disco per L’estate 1999”. In 2003 she released a second dance album, limited edition, with Universal Music entitled “Hot Stuff” (driven by the single of the same name).
What was the concept of the video? Reworking the old video clip from 1998 by contrasting the classic elements that distinguished it with elements of modernity contemporary to 2024. This is why instead of ballerinas, humanoid robots were inserted who dance in a baroque location in order to recall the original location of the video.

To make the video more functional, pop-up lyrics were introduced that follow the rhythm of the music and camera movements. furthermore, to seal the connection between the 1998 song and the 2024 remix, vintage televisions were placed in the location which reproduced original scenes from the first video clip
